CRL Bullflex Seal Ring
OUR PROJECTS
BDX were engaged by Link Alliance to design and fabricate a heavy duty structural steel seal ring which is an integral part of the tunnel boring operation on Auckland’s City Rail Link. The 8m diameter ring was fabricated from rolled 300PFC channel and had to be within 2mm tolerance overall to ensure the tunnel boring machine ‘Dame Whina Cooper’ could safely break through out of the rock and into the station.
