Kamo Shared Path Walk and Cycle Bridge
OUR PROJECTS
BDX have been engaged by Whangarei District Council to fully refurbish a historic rail bridge that was originally constructed in 1903 and install it alongside SH1 north of Whangarei as part of the Kamo Shared Path project. The works involve repairing damaged sections, installing a new deck, designing and fabricating a compliant handrail system, protective coatings and installation. Once complete the bridge will be transported to site and lifted into place in 2 sections using a 400T mobile crane.
